It is important that your baby try the most possible food especially fruits and vegetables in each stage. Fruit and vegetables are a good source of vitamins, minerals, vitamin C and potassium.
In early years , Let your child try one single-ingredient food at a time.
- Start by giving baby cooked and pureed fruits and vegetables such apples, yams, squash, carrots, potatoes, green beans, peas
- Gradually introduce single-ingredient of the vegetables and fruits & try to wait about five days between each new food & the other.
- Banana purée. is a “perfect” food, bananas are rich in potassium and fiber
Preschoolers need to eat foods from all healthy food groups : vegetables, fruit, dairy, grain foods and protein
Remember to enjoy meals time together with your child. Sometimes it is lovely to design the food in funny shapes or preferred animals to be attractive.
If your child sees you eating and enjoying a wide variety of fruit and vegetables, they are more likely to join in.
